Permanecí cuatro años al cuidado de mi padre, quien enfermó de Alzheimer y fue una etapa de mucha comprensión y aprendizaje porque sufre tanto el ser amado como su cuidador, y ese tipo de experiencias nos hacen crecer como seres humanos.
Por eso soy conciente de la atención, protección y respeto que necesitan nuestros adultos mayores. Además, ellos son una fuente de sabiduría y experiencia por lo que intercambiar con personas de la tercera edad y de otras culturas diferentes a la mía sin duda será una experiencia enriquecedora.
