Letter to the family

Hello, my name is MurphyMaeve. I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. I am currently 19 years old. I'm a second-year college student now spending the semester at the University of Alicante. I fell in love with Spain while studying here, and I would like to stay for the summer to work here. I'm searching for an au pair or nanny position for the upcoming summer because of this. I love kids and have been babysitting/nannying since I was in the eighth grade. I am a very laid back person. I am certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid, and I have experience teaching swim lessons and working as a lifeguard. I also enjoy being in the water and am aware of how to look after children near the water. I worked as a full-time nanny for a family with two children last summer, so this won't be my first summer spent looking after children.

Experience

I would like to become an Au Pair/ Nanny abroad for many different reasons. First I genuinely love spending time with children and taking care of children does not feel like a job to be because it is something I enjoy. I have grown to love the Spanish culture, language, and lifestyle and working as an Au Pair or nanny would provide me with immersive opportunity to live within a Spanish family. I am eager to improve my Spanish language skills and believe that full immersion in a Spanish-speaking environment is the most effective way to improve my skills.
