Heyyyy!! My name is Madi, and I would love the opportunity to join your family as an Au Pair. I have several years of experience caring for children of different ages, from babies and toddlers to school-aged kids and teenagers. I’ve babysat and childminded for family friends and neighbours, and I’ve also helped care for my little brother since he was born — he’s now three, so I’m very familiar with everything from bottles and naps to keeping up with a toddler’s endless energy (although it never fails to impress me!!).

In addition to this, I’ve also worked as a support worker with a teenager in care who faced significant mental and behavioural challenges. That experience taught me the importance of patience, setting clear boundaries, and staying calm in difficult moments, as well as providing me with a deeper understanding of how to build trust and provide consistent care, even when circumstances are tough.

I want to become an Au Pair because I genuinely love being around children. I admire their creativity, their honesty, and the way they find joy in the smallest things — I honestly believe adults could learn so much from the way kids see the world. I’m a positive, caring, and adaptable person who loves travelling, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures. Becoming part of a family abroad feels like the perfect way to combine these passions.

Experience

I have several years of childcare experience, both within my own family and beyond. I’ve cared for babies, toddlers, and school-aged children through babysitting and childminding for family friends and neighbours, which gave me experience adapting to different parenting styles and routines. At home, I’ve also helped care for my little brother since he was born — he’s now three, so I know all about bottles, naptimes, watching the same 5 minutes of a film a million times and feigning ultimate excitement at such, and of course … (insert dramatic music here) toddler tantrums.

In addition, I’ve worked as a support worker with a teenager in care who faced significant mental and behavioural challenges. That role taught me how important it is to set clear boundaries, stay patient, and remain calm in high-stress situations. It also showed me the value of consistency, compassion, and good communication when building trust with young people who may be struggling.

These combined experiences have given me a solid foundation in childcare — from nurturing babies to guiding teenagers — and they’ve made me confident, adaptable, and genuinely excited about supporting other families such as your lovely selves!!
