Hello I’m Grace,

Im 19 and live in east England in a quaint city called Norwich, I’m fluent in English and gradually learning Bulgarian as that is where my partner is from! I studied travel and tourism level 3 with a cabin crew diploma in Norwich city college.

I want to become an au pair because I want to educate myself on other cultures and households and take myself out of my comfort zone, I also enjoy working with kids and feel I have something to offer to the kids and family in general; this is also a great way for me to see more of the world while working and doing something I love.

I can offer you my help around the house with maintaining a clean and safe environment for the kids, I can also bake and cook! I am extremely imaginative and creative and believe creative play for children is extremely important for personal development, I’m good at arts and crafts and more than happy to get stuck in activities with them. I can help the family with morning and nightly routines. I’m really easy going and happy to do what is helpful and needed to support the family.

I have worked with kids for the past year from ages 0-13, from this line of work it has taught me lots of health and safety around children and it made me really enjoying being able to not only have a valuable interaction with them but that I got to teach them new things which made me feel proud. Upon volunteering at a kindergarten in Sri Lanka recently I was awarded volunteer of the week for communication, patience, critical thinking, leadership, organisation, time management, teamwork, listening, and attendance. The kids at the kindergarten were aged between 3-6 my main duties were supporting them while doing their work and other tasks, supervision while they worked and played, playing with them during break times and ensuring everyone was included , encouraging and motivating them by telling them they are doing well and that they are smart and kind and to keep going. I also have a valid basic DBS check.
