Dear Host Family,

My name is Evangeline, I’m 17 years old, and I come from Australia. I’ve always had a soft spot for kids and when I started working with young children in afterschool programs, my passion for early childhood education flourished.
I want to become an Au Pair because I believe it’s a perfect way to blend my love for childcare and my passion for travel. I’ve always enjoyed spending time with children. Helping them learn, grow, and seeing them laugh is something I’ve always found joy in. Being a positive influence in a child’s life is vital, whether it’s helping with homework, engaging in creative endeavours, or simply being a supportive person in their life. At the same time, I’m incredibly excited about the chance to live abroad and fully immerse myself in the cultural experience of another country.
I would be honored if you chose to host me because I bring not only experience but genuine enthusiasm and care to the role. I am responsible, thoughtful, and patient. I believe I am someone who understands the importance of trust when it comes to caring for children. I have also been described as selfless and open-minded. I am eager to be a part of your family’s daily life and help with any tasks required of me.
I believe my experience working with children makes me qualified for the position. I have worked in an after-school care program, babysat for friends and family, and been a foster sister to multiple young children in the past, and I’m confident in my ability to manage the responsibilities of an Au Pair. I’m also comfortable with household tasks, and am always happy to lend a hand where needed. Most importantly, I genuinely care about building a meaningful relationship with my host family.
