Letter to the family

Hi! My name is Claire! I’m a responsible, energetic, and caring young adult from Western Australia. I come from a big family with seven siblings, so I’ve naturally grown into the role of an older sister — helping out with childcare, supporting learning, and being a reliable presence in a busy household. I love the outdoors, arts, drama, books, and am always looking for an adventure!

I grew up on a farm in rural WA, but spent my teen years in Perth. I have a horse that I ride, some chickens, and two dogs. I love to make adventures, so I often go camping and travel to cities around Australia. I am comfortable in large cities to small towns, as I am an extremely adaptable person!

I want to become an Au Pair so I meet people from around the world. For my high school I went to a boarding house that hosted many international students, so the exchanging of culture is a very important part of my life. Being an Au Pair would not only allow me a glimpse into your everyday life, but it would allow me to share my culture with you: from tales about growing up in the outback to tim tams and kangaroos ?

I am a very easy going person, who enjoys both friendly loud conversations and quieter moments. I understand both the value of your time along with time spent together. If you hosted me, you can be guaranteed a friendly face happy to help out and make memories with.

Experience

Growing up I had many Au Pairs, so I understand the benefits that come from the experience - both for the family and the au pair. I think that being an Au Pair for your family is the perfect opportunity to not only share my culture but learn about yours! I'm really passionate about helping kids learn in creative and supportive ways, as I've both tutored and coached throughout my later teens. I'm excited to become a big sister and share in your life.

Going abroad would be such a unique experience, even more so by sharing that experience with you! I hope to fully immerse myself and explore cultures different to my own.
