Andrea (34 / Mr. ), Italian, Office Clerk living in Italy looking for Nanny & Live-in Tutor job in Australia for 1-24 Months

Hello dear Parents,

Surely it may seem like a somewhat strange request for a guy to apply as an au pair, however, I try to write with total sincerity to tell you who I am and why this request.

My name is Andrea, I am 34 years old and live in Pescara, a small town in central Italy. I have a degree in Political Science and currently work for the state as an administrative clerk in my city's municipal building.

I like children a lot, I have a special empathy with them, I can feel their emotions and needs, I like to play with them, help them with homework and growth. In fact I spend a lot of time with my granddaughter (7 years old) and grandchildren (5 and 8 years old respectively) of Laura, my partner. She also loves children, currently works in a kindergarten, is a child care provider and a sleep and lactation assistant. As soon as she can, she would also like to come to Australia to have this experience.

I love playing sports, going to the gym, biking, running and swimming. In winter I also like to ski. In my spare time I like to spend time in nature, which I love and respect deeply, I like to go Trekking, read books on psychology, child education and on personal growth. I like to listen to music and also devote time to volunteer activities, Plastic Free associations for collecting plastic and cigarettes on beaches, (many Italians unfortunately have no respect for nature).

Have lived alone for 10 years now, so I am able to help in every aspect of the home. Cleaning, laundry, ironing, etc. I am very good at Italian cooking, even making homemade pasta and Pizza. I really enjoy cooking and often invite friends and family for lunch and dinner at my house so I can cook for them and be together.

I am available to help around the house in any activity, help children, cook for them, play with them, accompany them wherever you ask me. Being a big brother to them. I tell you the truth my English is elementary, however I am very motivated and ambitious to learn, in fact it is one of the many reasons why I would like to have this experience. Of course I am willing to support English schools at my own expense to accelerate learning. I would like to know the English language very well to speak fluently so eventually open myself to new job opportunities and move there permanently, (I don't want to rule anything out).

I have many relatives living in Australia. My grandfather's sister moved to Australia 60 years ago now and started a wonderful family. I have many uncles and cousins, with whom I have a good relationship who live in Sydney and we often write each other through Facebook, they have come many times to visit my family here in Italy however I have never come there, not even on vacation.
