Letter to the family

Hi there ! My name is Kate but most call me Katie and I am an au pair from South Africa. I will be 21 this year and have a keen interest for all things kids, travel, adrenaline, baking, outdoors and anything social. I am currently in my third year of au pairing and looking to find another experience in a different part of the world. For me, au pairing is not only a job but also something I love and thoroughly enjoy doing. I am a confident, hard working, fun loving and responsible individual looking for a lovely host family to start a new adventure with.
I hope to not only ensure your child’s safety, development and growth but to also ensure fun and positive days.
I believe I am qualified for this position with an advanced diploma in teaching English, paediatric first aid, many years of au pair experience as well as babysitting and tutoring.

Experience

To begin with, I love au pairing. I love to travel as well. So to be able to do both these things at the same time is a dream ! I started au pairing and tutoring in my home town during my matric year and have worked for a few different families since then. I au paired abroad in the UAE for one month and I am currently au pairing in the Netherlands until August 2024 and I so enjoyed the experience, I would love to do another year in a different country.
I have experience in au pairing for many ages ranging from 3 months up to 13 years.
I love meeting new people, becoming part of a new family, experiencing new cultures and the personal growth that comes with this experience. Being able to work, teach and play with kids as a job is a dream come true for me.
