I have extensive experience in child care as the second oldest aunt in our family I have baby sat a lot of my nieces and nephews. In child care that is family I have about 500+ hours from the last 5 years however if we take into consideration the years before that , it is more. Professionally and without family members I have about 700+ hours which I obtained from working at a Aftercare for 2 years and baby sitting a toddler that wasn’t family last year for 2 months. These experiences have equipped me to be empathetic , creative and very attentive in my childcare experience. They have also made my communication and listening skills improve because as a child caregiver you have to listen to what the kids are telling you and be able to communicate what you need from them communicate their boundaries. My caregiving style is fun loving and educational. I believe children listen to you more when they feel loved by you and when they feel like they can talk to you or relate to you but also respect you as an adult and as their caregiver.
