Dear Host Family,

My name is Roberto, everyone just calls me Robert, and I am writing to introduce myself as a candidate for your Au Pair program. I come from El Salvador, a small yet vibrant country in Central America, and I am deeply passionate about experiencing new cultures and living abroad.

The reason I want to become an Au Pair is because I see it as a unique opportunity to fully immerse myself in a different culture while also contributing meaningfully to your family’s daily life. I have always believed that the best way to understand the world is by connecting with people, sharing traditions, and stepping outside of my comfort zone.

I think your family should consider hosting me because I am a responsible, caring, and open-minded person who truly enjoys working with children. I am eager to become part of your family routine—not only as a caretaker but also as someone who can share stories about my country, cook traditional Salvadoran meals, and help your children learn about a different part of the world.

Experience

I have not been an Au Pair before, but I have experience caring for children in my family and community. I have helped take care of my younger cousins and have also supported friends and neighbors by babysitting on weekends. These experiences have taught me patience, creativity, and how to make children feel safe and happy. I am very excited to start my first Au Pair experience abroad and bring this dedication and enthusiasm to your family.
