Hello future Host family, I am Amariyah and I am from a small town in Minnesota. I graduate at the end of May, and I turn 18 at the beginning of June! I want to become an Au Pair, because I am very passionate about traveling the world and child development. I think being an Au Pair is the perfect combination of both, and it allows to live locally. I am a very open minded person, and i enjoy seeing what day-to-day life looks like in a different country. I think i would be a good person to host, because i am able to connect with children, and they often see me as an advocate for them. I work as an Inclusion specialist, so i know how to deal with children that may struggle more than others, and i am skilled at handling big emotions. Moreover, I just enjoy caring for children and seeing them development into strong, smart humans. I have worked in childcare since i was really young. When i was in childcare myself, I was often helping take care of the younger children. This including feeding, giving them naps, etc. As i got older, I now work and volunteer at a after school program, and i have 7 years of babysitting experience. I also am very responsible, and can create a very welcoming environment for the children! I am also planning to attain my certificate in TESOL throughout the year, so I will also be able to create a english learning environment if needed/wanted!
