Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are a small family of three living in a small town 45 minutes away from Berlin and Potsdam. We have a small son, Emil, who will turn 1 in November 2025.
Our pets include a small dog and a gentle horse (they won't be your responsibility but they enjoy your company if you like animals).
Your main responsibility would be caring for our son while we work from home. This will be up to 6 hours a day. You do not work on weekends.
With the "Deutschland Ticket" you will be able to get around Germany without additional costs for you (public transportationthat we will pay for you).

It would be great if your mothertongue is one of the following languages: English, Italian, French, Spanish

Job Description

We have very kind neighbours (most of them with young children). Our small town is very calm but offers everything you need in daily life like supermarkets, pharmacy, public outdoors swimming pool, medical center, seasonal festivals, restaurants etc. It feels a bit like Gilmore Girls with all the events and nice neighbours.
For everything else, Berlin is just a short train ride (my normal commute if I do not work from home).

Our region

We live close to a train station (15 minutes slow walk or 5 minutes drive) in a rural small town. It is very quiet but close to two major cities (Berlin and Potsdam).

What we do in our free time

We like to spend time outside if the weather is nice. We have a small pool in the garden and like hosting.
We like travelling and normally spend a couple of weeks in Italy (especially during summer).

We live in a newly built home with a big garden. You will have your own room with a desk(with a screen to be used for studying or as a tv) and chair, bed that is able to be used as a sofa (if that is comfortable for you), drawer and cupboard.
