Hello future Senior Au Pairs!

My name is Wolfgang and I am 58 years old. Together with my wife Gabriele, I live in a small city close to Linz (capitol of Upper Austria - ca. 25km away). We have a quite spacious house with a beautiful garden. Although we are only 5 min by foot away from the city center, you can enjoy nature as there is a small forest behind the house - so best of both worlds we think.

3 years ago I had an accident and since that moment I am in a wheelchair and handicaped with mobility difficulties. Fortunately my mind is fully intact and I can still work in my former profession as an engineer for the city of Linz (25h a week with my special work assistants).
Before my accident my wife and I used to be very active. We loved to travel (still have many good stories to tell) and enjoyed hiking, biking, swimming and sailing. Another passion of mine I still quite enjoy are vintage cars. I used to restore old cars as a hobby and am still a proud owner of a 1965 Mustang convertible - though now my wife and daugther are the drivers.
In our free time we like to meet friends and enjoy good conversations with a glas of wine in the garden or on our balcony.

Although the size of the city we live in is not big (it is called Eferding), you can find everything you need (supermarkets, boutiques, clothing stores, book stores, library, pharmacies, doctors, cosmetics, etc.) here and the connection to Linz and Wels are very good (Bus and Train - ca. 40 min - 3x per hour). So if you want to go to a language course, you can easily do that in Linz.
Eferding is also located next to the Danube with lots of possibilities for biking, jogging, inline skating or swimming along the river surrounded by nature. In case you enjoy the mountains - the Salzkammergut and the Alps are approximately 1-1.5h away by car - also a great opportunity to enjoy a good hike.
