Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello Future Au pair,
We are an outgoing, relaxed family with a love of the outdoors, socializing, traveling and family activities from Graz, Austria. For the past 10 years we’ve been living in the States which was an amazing an unforgettable experience for us. We moved back home to Graz about a year ago. Graz is the capital of Styria and Austria's second largest town, nestled in the south of the country.
You will notice, that there is no big city rush in Graz. Instead, take a seat somewhere in the old town, listen to a nearby street musician, and sip your coffee.
So let us introduce our family...we are a family of 5. We have 3 children, A (15), E(12) and M(7), a cat and a dog.
A and E are gymnasts and M plays Ice hockey. Most of the time you would be responsible for M. Since I have to leave for work early, your schedule normally would require you to help M to get ready each morning and take both boys to school. In the afternoon I would like you to pick up M and take him to his activities if I’m not home on time. But the most important part of your job will be to speak a lot of English to our kids; especially to M.
It also would be great if you could help out to drop off A at her gym if she can’t take the bus to get there. We would love it, if you could help prepare dinner 2 or 3 nights a week. Healthy, organic and homecooked meals are very important to us.
You will have a lot of free time during the day. We only need your help in the morning for dropping of the boys and later on in the afternoon.
We would like to host an Au Pair to assist in the care of our children and to provide a young person with an opportunity to experience life in Austria. We take our responsibility as a host family very seriously and believe we can offer a loving home and show you life with an Austrian family. We hope that you will feel happy joining us.
