Job Description

About Us:

We are a family of four, residing in Munich, with a unique background of living abroad. Our fourteen-year-old daughter and nine-year-old son, born in Hong Kong and raised in Singapore, are at the heart of our household. We are committed to fostering a rich linguistic environment, primarily focusing on English (or French, if the Au Pair is French-speaking) to ensure our children become fluent in these languages. While we support learning German, our day-to-day interactions will be in English (or French for French-speaking Au Pairs).

Workload:

We aim for a workload of around 30 hours per week, though it often falls closer to 25 hours. We offer flexibility with days off, accommodating your travel plans. The core responsibilities revolve around tutoring and engaging with the children, who are curious about growing up and expressing creativity through activities like drawing.

Schedule:

Mornings:

Typically free for your German language courses.

Forenoon:

Light household chores and personal time.
Afternoons (usually after 4:30 PM):

Engage in playful English language activities with the children, including reading English books, arts and crafts, painting, writing, counting, music, and singing.

Accompany the children to various activities, ensuring their safety and active participation.

Undertake light household chores, such as laundry, ironing, tidying up, small grocery shopping, and meal preparation. Heavy household chores are handled by a weekly service.

Occasionally:
Weekends are typically off, but there might be occasional requests for babysitting on Saturdays or Sunday evenings. We occasionally embark on family activities and hiking tours, providing an opportunity for everyone to bond and have fun.

Benefits:
We offer an attractive Au Pair position, providing an EU Au Pair contract. You will have the chance to attend German language classes and immerse yourself in German culture. The surrounding area is beautiful, with the riverside just two minutes away, offering cycling paths along the river Isar. Munich city center is easily accessible within 30 minutes.

We look forward to welcoming an Au Pair who shares our enthusiasm for language development and cultural exchange. If you are ready for a fulfilling experience with our family, we would love to hear from you!
