Dear future au pair,

We would like to introduce ourselves. We are Laura, 29 years old, Matz, 33 years old, and our daughter Thea, born in August 2024.
We live in beautiful Otterndorf, a small town on the Elbe River, about a two-hour train ride from Hamburg and half an hour from the North Sea. We live in a large house with a small garden. As our au pair, you would have your own room and bathroom upstairs. You would only occasionally have to share the latter with family visitors.
Matz works as a doctor, and I, and Laura, work as a German and English teacher.
We are looking for an au pair to look after our little Thea starting in July/August 2026. We are looking for someone who will treat her lovingly and patiently and enjoys engaging in a variety of activities with her. It is important to us that she spends plenty of time outdoors, is read to, and, if possible, avoids spending time in front of the TV/tablet.
As our au pair, we would consider you part of our family and would love to show you the area and our culture. If you'd like, you're welcome to join us on vacation. Conversely, we hope that you will enrich our lives and our everyday lives with your culture.
