Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear future Au Pair,

We are a family of 3 and recently moved to Valencia, Spain. Our son Luca was born in October 2024 and is an energetic, cheerful baby. We live in a spacious apartment located less than 5 minutes walking to the famous Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias and the Turia gardens. The beach is less than 2 km away and all major sights of the city are easily reached by foot or bike.

Daniel is originally from Colombia and works mainly from home. Hannah is from Germany and works in Valencia. At home, we speak Spanish, German and English and our son is growing up with a truly multicultural background. Both of us have travelled extensively and love getting to know different cultures. Moreover, we enjoy being outdoors and experiencing life as an adventure together!

We are looking for an Au Pair to join us for 6-12 months and primarily support with looking after Luca. What is important to us is flexibility, kindness and respect. In addition, it is important that you are comfortable looking after a small infant. We look forward to getting to know you and welcoming you into our family!

Job Description

Childcare is the core focus. During the summer (June, July and August) Luca will be at home everyday; from September onwards he will start at daycare, so there will be more free time for you to study or enjoy the city.

Light household duties might be required every now and then (e.g. cleaning away toys, loading the dishwasher, or occasionally helping with cooking a meal).
