Dear Nanny, thank You for Your interest in our family.

Thank You for Your interest in our family, We just found a Nanny for the first six month in 2024.

We wish You a very good time, much success in Your undertakings and good luck in finding a new place.

We live in our own house in Castlebar, Co Mayo, Ireland. Alex started school in 2022. While the house is in town the school is in the neighbouring town (Westport), so a driving licence is a must. There is a car at Your disposition, even when You would like it for private use.

You will have Your own room but we hope You participate in the family activities.

Public transport is not far away (train and bus to be reached within one to two km), but public transport in Ireland is difficult. Schools are not far away but language classes are not easily attainable. Aniko learnt her English by attending evening classes for accountancy, this way You learn a language away from all the mistakes other foreigners make and learn the social behaviour in the new culture.

Castlebar is on the west-coast of Ireland, periods of draught do not exist in this part of the world and the Airport of Dublin (the only real one for international travel) is on the other side of the island. Traveling there takes the bigger part of a day.

Descrizione del Lavoro

Our expectation on You are easy: Keep Alex busy and well. Teach him anything, from 123 to ABC, to draw, to play a musical instrument, even if You have to learn it together with him, sing with him. Go for daily walks and cook lunch, sometimes dinner. Nothing Special but nutricious. Beside that You help to keep the house clean, go together with Aniko shopping, or do that together with Alex and most of all, become an older sister to Alex, with laughing and playing, but also with showing him the ropes. Brushing teeths and persional Hygiene is important.
There are no fixed work-hours, but family live is arranged around all our needs and occupations. So if You want to do something, then that is organised no different to standard family practice.
Due to the distances in Ireland, You must have a driving licence. Dont be afraid, we will show You how to drive on the right side of the road, we had to learn it too.

You will have Your own room that is newly furnished (IKEA, April 2022). We share a common Household, so no special bathroom and no separate entrance. A normal house in a town, 100sqm on two floors, so dont expect huge rooms or a fancy garden, but all neat and clean.
