Dear Host Family,

I hope this letter finds you well! My name is Tinotenda, but you can call me Tino. I’m a 23-year-old Zimbabwean currently living and working in the UK as a carer. I’m thrilled about the opportunity to join your family as an au pair and would love to share a bit about myself, my experience, and what I hope to bring to your home.

I was born in Zimbabwe and spent part of my life in South Africa, but I am currently based in Morecambe, Lancashire, UK. I’ve always loved being around children and caring for others. Over the past five years, I’ve gained experience working with children aged 1 to 7, both through family and my professional background in care. I’ve completed certified training in childcare, elderly care, and first aid, and I currently work full-time as a carer in the UK.

Whether it’s organizing fun activities, helping with homework, or preparing simple meals, I enjoy creating a safe, loving space for children to learn and grow. I’m also happy to support light household duties to make your daily life easier.

I believe my personality is well-suited for the role of an au pair: I’m kind, responsible, energetic, and adaptable. I like to keep things organized, and I always bring a positive attitude to my work.

One of my biggest goals is to improve my German and eventually transition into an Ausbildung (vocational training program) in Germany, especially in healthcare or childcare. I am currently preparing for the Goethe A1 exam, which I’ll be taking in November 2025, and I hope to join a family in early 2026.

In my free time, I love dancing, playing netball, listening to music, and going for walks. I’d love to share some of these activities with your children and family. I’m also eager to share my own culture and language while learning more about yours.
