Dear Host family,

Its so exciting to be able to write to you and give you a better idea of who i am and what i am in person. My name is Dorothy, i am 27 year old lady from Ghana, and have completed a Bachelor's degree in statistics. I speak English fluently, then little bit of French and Luxembourgish. I have two siblings, one brother Johnson (21 yrs) works in a ware house and one sister Eleanor (23 yrs) who is just about to graduate as a Midwife. My parents are Joseph and Felicia, my dad is a transport officer and my mom a trader. I have worked as a Nursery and Primary school teacher, my hobbies are sports, reading, singing, listening to music, playing with kids, cooking and keeping my environment clean. I am passionate, responsible, hardworking, obedient, reliable and dedicated person, who has always had deep affection for working with children and have lots of child care experience. Having taken care of my younger cousins in the past, securing employment in childcare, handling two kids and also while as a teacher, handling kids from Nursery to the Primary school level. I am able to connect with kids on a personal level while simultaneously maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor. I prioritize creating a safe and nurturing environment where children feel more comfortable expressing themselves and teaching essential life skills. My strong communication and interpersonal skills, helps me build strong relationship with kids, and whole family as well. I chose to be au pair to improve my childcare experience, to learn more about Luxembourg, and eagerly immense myself in a new culture, learn more from your family's values, and contribute positively to your household, also be more than happy to share that of my country with you. Assisting and ensuring seamless integration in your daily routines would be done smoothly. I have had First Aid and CPR Training with Red Cross International and have also gone through Criminal Check and have my Police Clearance Certificate. After the program, i will come back home to further my education and maybe establish a Day Care Centre in the future. I have much interest and confidence in what i do in child care and promise to be one of the best you have ever had and always be there for you.
