My name is Anita, and I'm thrilled to introduce myself as a potential au pair/nanny. I'm 25 years old from Kenya, a stunning country in Africa. I consider myself open-minded, hard-working, easy-going, dedicated, trustworthy, helpful, patient, and responsible. Taking care of kids brings me immense joy, and their health, safety, and happiness are my top priorities.

I come from a big family, with 26 grandchildren and my mother being one of fourth siblings. We're a close-knit bunch and all live within just three miles of each other. We even run a family business together, which means we get to spend a lot of time together! Because of my close family ties, my friends are often considered part of my chosen family. I really treasure and appreciate my friendships, and I make sure to surround myself with loyal and fun people.

I recently graduated from Masinde Mulilo University of Science and Technology, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Statistics. I have a passion for traveling, learning new languages, immersing myself in different cultures, and creating lifelong memories. My calm, collected nature, patience, and quick learning skills are always helpful in handling challenging situations. I used to volunteer at a kindergarten and daycare in my neighborhood twice a week, where I had amazing experiences with lovely children aged 1 to 4. We would read, sing, dance, draw, play games, and take naps together. In addition to that, I babysit my sister's child, Dylan (1 year old), every evening from Monday to Friday. Dylan is such a wonderful kid who enjoys playing games, watching cartoons, drawing, and sleeping. On weekends, I also babysit my cousin's daughter, Nadin (1 and a half years old).

In terms of being an au pair, I believe my strength lies in my ability to form strong bonds with children and effortlessly blend in with their lives. This enables me to not only serve as their mentor in various aspects but also become like their big sister. Additionally, I am always willing to learn from my mistakes and improve. On the other hand, I must admit that my weakness as an au pair is finding it difficult to let go because I become emotionally attached, especially to the children I care for. It can be challenging to detach from them.

I am currently in search of a host family who would embrace me as part of their own, exhibiting kindness, warmth, and a genuine interest in learning new cultures and languages. Ideally, I am looking for a long-term stay of at least one year or more, depending on the connection and rapport formed with the family.
