I have a special fondness for interacting with children.
As an older sister and aunt, I have always had a close bond with children. Consequently, I have associated myself with various jobs and experiences involving children. My first job was as a tutor, and I also did two internships during school, both related to working with children. One was at my former primary school, and the other was as a court-appointed special representative for children (Verfahrensbeistand). The latter was especially enjoyable for me as it involved representing the interests of children in court.
Furthermore, I work at a student café at my former school (a complete description of my tasks at this student café is attached). In this organization, I underwent training to become a group leader, which allowed me to participate as a supervisor and caregiver in holiday trips.
You can find the confirmation of my participation in the training and the things I learned related to working with children in the attachment. I have participated twice as a supervisor
on holiday trips, where approximately 50 children travel to another city, and I take responsibility for them. This includes planning and implementing workshops, games, educational activities, etc. Additionally, I had a group of about 6-7 children for whom I was solely responsible at certain times. I had to wake them up early in the morning, ensure they were appropriately dressed to stay warm, make sure their rooms were tidy, and ensure they didn't stay up too late at night. Naturally, a bond is formed with them, and they would come
to me with any problems they had. I always had an open ear for them and tried to find solutions to ensure their well-being.
Through this work, I am constantly in contact with social workers and have gained a wealth of experience with children both professionally and personally.
And last but not least, I have been an au pair with two boys (years and 3 years) since December. Accordingly, I have au pair experience and it will be easier for me to settle in with a new family.
As an au pair, I have gained a wealth of valuable experience and developed a variety of skills. I learned how to treat children responsibly and sensitively and meet their needs. Through direct care of the children, I learned to be patient and respond to their individual needs.
I also learned how important a structured daily routine is for children and how to maintain it. I learned to organize creative activities and games to entertain and stimulate the children. I also learned to be flexible and to adapt quickly to different situations.
Overall, working as an au pair not only helped me improve my skills in working with children, but also promoted my personal development. I am grateful for the experiences I have had so far and look forward to continuing to learn and grow.

Overall, working as an au pair has not only helped me improve my childcare skills but has also fostered my personal development. I am grateful for the experiences I have had so far and look forward to continuing to learn and grow.
