Dear Future Family,

Hello! My name is Allissa and I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. I've done some traveling throughout my life, but would love to experience so much more. Given the chance to work while exploring beyond where I've grownup would be a dream!

In my recent past, I had the amazing opportunity to work as a special needs assistant teacher with students ages 13-21. During that time is when I discovered I love working with kids, and people with special needs.
Initially I was worried to work in the class room. I heard how difficult the work can be, and with no experience I didn't know what to expect. But, from the first day in the class room I built such a beautiful bond with the kids and young adults. As well as hearing from my higher-ups how adaptable I was to the environment.

My calm, nurturing, and loving nature, along with my adaptability to new situations makes it easy for me to bond with kids. The experience I got as a student teacher and Au pair allowed me to build the skills on top of that to make me an outstanding caregiver to kids!
