Larissa (26 / Ms. ), Brazilian & Italian, Engineer living in USA looking for Au Pair job in Italy & Spain for 6-12 Months

Hello dear Host Family, I'm Larissa, but you can call me Lalá! I was born and raised in São Paulo, one of the ten largest cities in the world. I am 26 years old; I live with my parents, Rita and Antônio, and my brothers Lucas, Levi, and Luísa. My family has always taught me values ​​and principles from a very young age, and this has brought many aspects to my personality. I can say that I am a very strong and determined woman, I am very empathetic, and I always try to put myself in the other person's shoes to understand the situation better; I am a Christian, and helping others is something that is in my blood, I will help anyone, no matter the situation, I go to great lengths to bring a little joy to someone or even if someone is in a difficult situation, needing some food or a friendly word, I will do it. I am very communicative, and I believe that dialogue is the basis of any relationship and is the key to resolving any conflict. I consider myself very affectionate, and I love to make people around me feel comfortable and loved; I am very attentive and observant, and I know when people need something even when they don't say anything, especially children who often still don't know how to deal with emotions and end up expressing in some way.

When I discovered the au pair program, I was sure it was something I really wanted to do because since I was very young, I have been doing volunteer work at the church I attend, and working with children has always been something that has brought me a lot of joy and satisfaction, I strongly believe that each child brings a different personality and we must always respect each one, I always loved being present in each evolution of the children I took care of, and I always encouraged them to discover something new, as I am very curious and I love to explore, I liked to do that with the kids too, I love when I'm reading a book to them, and they spend hours traveling in their imagination, thinking about each character and each scene, for me, working with children is one of the most rewarding moves in life because I see children as pure and innocent beings and I love the way they see life.

So being an au pair goes far beyond just being a nanny for the children, I really want to be part of all the evolutions they have, and I want to celebrate the good times and teach them something in every bad moment. I want this year to be unforgettable for both my host kids and me, and I want to create memories that they will remember forever, just as I have amazing memories of my childhood; I want to teach them how to be independent, responsible, kind, empathetic and loving and besides, I want to be able to bring them a little of the culture of Brazil that is so rich in art and cuisine.
