Ana Su (25 / Ms. ), Spanish, Sales Manager living in Spain looking for Au Pair job in Ireland for 6-12 Months

I have not been an au pair but I have had experience working with children. In high school I volunteered at my school (for 1 year), where some of my classmates and I started playing with the preschoolers at recess, but then those of us who liked the experience were offered to see if we wanted to. There was 1 student per class to help children who had academic difficulties or had a harder time doing their class homework. At the same time, since I stayed at noon in the dining room and we had 1 hour and a half of free time, sometimes with other colleagues we helped in the dining room where the small children were, to be with them, play and prepare recreational activities for their children. age, helping children who had problems eating what they didn't like, etc. With children I realized that we can learn a lot from them, listening to them when they want to tell you things about their daily lives and that you can have interesting conversations despite their age. It is interesting to listen to them and understand a little more how they see the world.

In a second year, I was giving private lessons to 2 elementary students. We mainly focused on completing class assignments and asking me any questions they had. The truth is that I found the experience very rewarding because I realized that I was not bad at teaching and that I also liked it.

Regarding my little cousins, what we liked to do together the most is go to the park next to their house, sometimes their friends were there and other times they weren't and I played with them. Many times I prepared snacks or dinner for them, bathed them (although sometimes they didn't like it haha), changed their clothes and put them to sleep. Some of the activities we did were playing puzzles or playing the games they had at home, painting with our hands or with watercolors, etc. I have a lot of fun with them.
