Valeria (23 / Ms. ), Colombian, living in Colombia looking for Au Pair & Caregiver for elderly job in Denmark for 6-24 Months

Dear host family

My name is Valeria, I am 23 years old and I currently live in Bogotá (Colombia) with my parents, both of them have teaching as their profession. I recently finished my university studies in Mechatronic Engineering at the Agustiniana institution.

I describe myself as a modern woman who is not afraid to seek new experiences that contribute to my personal and professional growth. For example, as far as my profession is concerned, I have had the opportunity to pursue my career working as a project documenter for an engineering company and as a technological assistant providing technical support to the teams.

In 2023 I had the great fortune to visit different countries in Europe, including Denmark for more than 2 months. In my time in this Nordic country, I explored many social and cultural perspectives.

During my trip to Denmark, I began to admire the people, their culture, their values, the tranquility they feel, and the security in which they live. Furthermore, one of the traditions that I found most pleasant and interesting is how “hygge” manifests itself through small things and the time shared with family, friends, and quality of life.

I want to be an Au Pair because I have always liked working and spending time with children. Furthermore, I see it as a good way and opportunity to combine my ambitions to improve my personal and professional profile, at the same time continuing to look for my future.

You should hire me since I am good with children, lovely, independent, responsible, hard-working, and honest person. I have an advantage which is knowing Danish society, the people, and the norms that belong to normal daily life in the country since. I have been learning them through my boyfriend and his Danish family.

It is also important to highlight that I have visited the cities of Copenhagen, Aarhus, Aalborg, and Frederikshavn since I went and visited the aforementioned cities during my stay in Denmark.

On the other hand, traveling with the children will not be a problem because I have a B1 grade driver's license and I know how to ride a bicycle. Likewise, I have taken swimming courses.

I finally qualify to be an Au Pair since I like children and I am patient with them. In the same way, I am a very determined person, I strive to do my job well and to fight for my goals and dreams. Also being an Au pair will allow me to continue getting to know Danish culture and I could also teach them mine.
