Letter to the family

Hi Good Day,
My name is Lotoya I am from the caribbean country of saint Lucia but live in a small community called Saltibus in the district of Choiseul; where everyone knows each other, growing there I was popular with the kids and also the little hairdresser in the community where majority families would have their child come over to get their hair combed for the week for school; also our home was open to everyone, when a parent had to go to work or had something to do they would entrust our home with their child .. I have been babysitting/ or a nanny involuntary from the age of 9 years .. and I always loved children .. my uncles and aunts always resolted to Toya will take care of you guys, from the cooking, to bathing, to combing their hair, to just watching over them... it has always been in my nature as I genuinely care for others from babies to the elderly ..
I have never done it as a paid job as it was like I mentioned earlier for people in the community or family friends and my own family .... they all seemed like family to me but as anything else I was given an incentive for my time and efforts which too made me smile .. currently I am employed as a secretary and embalmer at a funeral home in Vieux-Fort, St. Lucia but things have become so difficult for me and my family financially that's why I am persuining a profession where I can better take care of my family financial needs.
I have also taken care of the elderly and the sick, I lived with my aunt for 2 years she was diagnosed with stomach cancer, I cook, clean, bath and groom her everyday ..and of course I was her companion too.. I miss her she motivated to in anything I did, for her I tried to persue nursing but I would fail the interview and my nerve would get the best of me I always wanted to be a nurse .. but I guess in Gods timing .. hence the reason I felt I fitted nicely in my current profession.. it's has to take passion to excel in anything one does ..
My deceased dad I too took care of him for about a year before he passed he too had cancer of the prostate .. I would bath him and cook for him and of course I loved keeping him company I miss his to this day .
At my job I attend to grieving families and make funeral arrangements.. I love it I am passionate about it and the families too despite their situation they take a liking to me also .

I find comfort in knowing I helped the family in the time of grief and I made the burden lighter ... .
I have never taken a course for my job but I have been employed there for 9 years ..but I was taught there and my character did the rest ... likewise I never took a course for the elderly care nor the nanny but I managed to be my heart's beat for each family .. if given the chance with your family I will do my best .. I am caring, loving and friendly I will also speak my mind and I would want you to be open with me as well ..
I currently have a 3 year old girl and a 5 year old boy which my mom does her part and babysit them for me in my absence while at work, she is not with us now she travelled so my neighbors looks over them for me .. that's how we grow up in the community we help our neighbor..
I love people and I am a people person I expect others to respect me also, I am not racist and I treat everyone the same .. I do not like to advantage of and I will do my work as expected .. I am a human and expect to be treated as one as I will respect you and your family as my own.. based on what you looking for in a me we will come to an conclusion on what is expected from each other .. like I made mention it's tough one in my country and leaving my kids to go to someone else's
Regards
Lotoya
