Hullo there, bonjour, and grüezi!

My name is Olivia and I am a young woman currently living in the States. My family is from Switzerland, while I was born here in the USA and possess dual citizenship. I have visited Switzerland many times throughout my life, grew up in a Swiss home culture here in Oregon speaking French at home, and was homeschooled so as to maintain my Swiss roots and secondary language. I am looking to work in Switzerland for a while and enjoy spending time with young ones!

Ma famille vient de Suisse (mon papa est américain), mon frère et ma sœur sont nées en notre patrie, mais je suis née ici aux États-Unis et j'ai double nationalité. J'ai visité ma famille élargie en Suisse une douzaine de fois dans mas vie, et grandi dans une maison riche de la culture suisse ici en Oregon, en parlant le français dans ma famille, et j'ai fais l'école à la maison pour maintenir mes racines suisse et ma langue secondaire. J'aimerais travailler en Suisse pendant un moment, et j'aime passer du temps avec les petits!

Experience

I am brand new to the experience of being an Au Pair! I am looking for a change of pace and have always longed to live more permanently in Switzerland, as opposed to just visiting for a few weeks/months. I am incredibly independent and am used to living on my own for the past three years. While I have never had an official job taking care of kids, I used to serve in childcare at my church growing up and just love toddlers! I have also spent some time taking care of my 1 y/o niece! This particular new adventure intrigues me as a way to serve a family needing help, love on some kids and invest in their lives in a positive and caring role, have the opportunity to potentially learn another language, gain new skills, and experience new things!
