Letter to the family

Dear future host family,
My name is Patience and am from Uganda but currently living and working in Qatar as an au pair for a beautiful family of four, however in September 2024, my contract will be expiring which is why I have decided to start the search for another host family for my next au pair adventure before the month of September.

I am searching for a host family that would be happy to have me as part of their family, be kind, welcoming and who are willing to learn a new culture and language as I will also be eager to learn a lot from them. I am a very active person, and it would be fun taking part in the family activities, like games, or maybe cooking playing with the kids or the babies or even gardening, or family celebrations and much more it might be anything but basically a family that loves each other and loves to do things together. I can't wait to join you soon :)

I am looking for a long time stay with my host family, for one year or more but am also open to shorter stays as well.
I am super open-minded, hardworking, easy going dedicated, trustworthy, helpful, patient and a responsible person. I am very calm, patient and a quick learner, most especially when dealing with challenging situations. I love traveling, learning new languages and different cultures, meeting new people and definitely making memories.

I recently managed to complete a professional caregiver course and so am trained to take care of babies, toddlers the elderly, plus assisting patients with their daily life however, in the future I would like to proceed with studies and become a Registered Nurse

Experience

I have 3 years' experience in childcare, which I obtained through working in a children's home, and I know what is required of me as an au pair. I love taking care of kids, their health, safety and happiness generally their wellbeing because I find it rewarding to help them learn and grow.

This experience has allowed me to grow professionally and personally, for example, my host family has given me a chance to attend a Professional Caregiver course here in Qatar which I managed to attend on my days off and for this surely, I will forever be grateful and so am looking forward to becoming a Registered Nurse.

Every member of the family has been a stepping step in the construction and formation of my life, they are the complement of who I am every day, even though we are from different cultures, it has not been an impediment to living a pleasant relationship.

I would love to be an au pair abroad because of the following reasons:
1. I aim to see as much of the world as possible because I love travelling and becoming an au pair has given me the opportunity to be able to choose destinations. So far, I'm in Doha-Qatar, it has really been a lovely experience adopting the country's culture, the lifestyle, learning the language and also trying out Arabic cuisines.

2. I managed to become a professional caregiver, and this has fueled me to have the moral to try and exercise my skill in a difference country, to gain more experience, to learn more about this field and to also be able to build practice and widen my expertise.

3. I have always loved to indulge in new cultures, for both different tribes and countries, I have never wanted to be in one place, I want to be able to know what is really beyond my home country and the outside world which is why I aim to see much of the world as possible.

4. I love spending most of my time with children, because I find it rewarding to help them learn and grow. I love the fact that being an au pair gives me a chance to become an elder sister for the kids watching beautiful kids grow really is a beautiful thing and it makes me feel proud of myself.

5. Becoming an au pair abroad gives me an opportunity to learn a new language and I love learning new things.
6. Becoming an au pair also gives me an opportunity to explore nature, visit museums, art galleries, new restaurants and much more.
