Letter to the family

Hello my future host family. My name is Amanda from South Africa. I would like to be your au pair because I enjoy having kids around me. They can be challenging at times but it’s easier to communicate with them, teach them, but my favourite part is playing with them, if they have homework, I help them. Singing with them is also my favourite part of all times. I mostly take time and listen to them, listen to their stories, laugh with them so that they can see that their opinions are also important.

Experience

I wouldn’t say I have a professional experience at being a nanny but I used to travel 1hr and 30mins to my aunt’s place and babysit her 2 boys every weekend. It was such a nice experience because her boys were everything to me. I would just everything that had to be done in the house and then make them food, while watching cartoons, they enjoyed more eating while watching cartoons, they get excited. And after we would go outside and play football or running around the yard. Sometimes we take a walk on streets, after that we would come back and eat again and then do homework.
Going abroad would be good for me, as I’m still young, I want to explore more of what life is outside my home country. I would to meet lot more people, learn their culture as well as their language. More especially to get to see how y’all raise your children.
