Alex (25 / Ms. ), American, living in USA looking for Au Pair & Nanny job in Australia & New Zealand for 12-24 Months

Being the oldest of four, I helped my parents out a lot with my siblings as we grew up. I began officially babysitting when I was in middle school and helped out various families in our town along with a small church group that met from time to time. Recently, I've had the opportunity to work in two different schools. Right after graduation, I spent a semester in Napa, California volunteering with Americorps in a K-1 classroom. It was so fun to get to work with the kids as well as experiencing life in another part of my country! This past year, I worked in an elementary school near my home as an aide in the special education unit as well as a recess monitor. We finished up our school year just a few weeks ago and I'm already missing all of our students so much!

My two main reasons for becoming an au pair are getting to work with children and cultural exchange. I love working with kids and would be overjoyed to get to wake up every day and do it for a living. I also love to learn about different cultures and want to be able to do so first-hand!
