Letter to the family

Dear Host Family,

I am a French student currently living in the south of France. I have just completed a three-year degree in Economics and Political Science.
I grew up in a family of five. I’m 20 years old, my younger sister is 17, and my younger brother is 15.
As I’ve reached a new stage in my studies, I wanted to do something different this summer. For the past three years, I’ve been working with children alongside my studies : as a nanny, in a day center, with a homework-help association, and during an internship at a primary school.
I’ve also passed the Cambridge and Duolingo English tests (C1 level), so I’m eager to put my English into practice!
I know that once I start my master’s degree next year, I’ll have fewer opportunities to live such an experience. Becoming an au pair has been a long-time dream of mine and something I truly care about.
I’m available for the entire month of July and would love to hear from you soon.

Experience

Becoming an au pair abroad is a unique opportunity for me to combine several things that I truly enjoy: working with children, discovering new cultures, and improving my language skills.
I’ve always loved spending time with children : whether as a nanny, in school environments, or through educational programs. Being an au pair allows me to build meaningful relationships with kids while also supporting their development in a family setting.
At the same time, I’m curious and eager to learn about other ways of life. Living abroad and sharing the daily life of a host family is, in my opinion, the best way to immerse myself in a new culture and see the world from a different perspective.
Finally, improving my English in a real-life environment is a goal I care about, especially as I prepare for an international career after my master’s degree. This experience would not only strengthen my language skills but also help me grow personally and become more adaptable, open-minded, and independent.
