Letter to the family

I am a final-year Psychology student at the University of Liverpool, who will graduate in June 2024. I work very well with children, making a fun and engaging environment, as well as providing high levels of care. I enjoy cooking both for myself and for other people, making a variety of different tasty and balanced meals. Alongside this, I love to bake so would be happy to bring this into your home. I am happy to cater for any dietary requirements and try new recipes your children will enjoy. I Love spending time outdoors; outside of my University life, I live in the countryside in East Sussex, frequently going on walks, finding forests and going to the beaches around us. I will also be more than happy to be placed in an animal-friendly home, I am highly capable of looking after dogs and have had many to look after in my own home over many years. I am a good and safe driver, passing my test in 2020, with my own car which I am able to bring with me (Renault Clio 2010). In the summer of 2024 (July-December) I will be looking for a live-in nanny role around the area of Oxford.

Experience

I love working with children and have previously had experience working in Camp Beaumont located in Tunbridge Wells in the summer of 2022 and 2023, working with ages ranging from 3 to 12. This role included looking after children, ensuring their safety, and organizing various daily games and activities. I have also worked with children abroad, in 2023 I traveled to Bali for 3 weeks to teach English to children; in preparation for this, I completed a TEFL course (with certification). Furthermore, I also volunteered shortly for a charity, which involved working in a camp designed for single mothers and their children in Serbia. This trip worked with the children and their mothers to create a happy, fun environment, running exciting activities designed to develop the children's play and development skills; providing them with new opportunities. Despite my lack of professional experience in nannying, I have spent many years caring for my younger sisters, now aged 9 and 10. This includes numerous babysitting, including overnight, and helping my mum with everyday tasks, such as changing nappies, getting dressed, cooking meals for a family of seven, and bedtime routines. As well as this, I have taken on numerous babysitting roles outside if the family.
