Letter to the family

Dear Host Family,

My name is Sara, and I am writing to express my sincere interest in becoming your Au Pair and Nanny. This opportunity represents the perfect way for me to combine my love for children, my interest in learning about new cultures, and my desire to contribute positively to a family's everyday life.

Why I want to become an Au Pair & Nanny:
I have always found joy in caring for others, especially children. I am deeply motivated by the idea of helping children grow in a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment. Becoming an Au Pair also gives me a chance to expand my cultural knowledge, improve my language skills, and live in a new environment—something I am used to and excited about due to my background in a multilingual, multicultural family.

Why you should host me:
People around me often describe me as a social, cheerful, and positive person who brings good energy to those nearby. I would describe myself as determined, outgoing, and responsible. I am quick to take on new tasks because I truly enjoy learning. These qualities are reflected in my academic achievements—I constantly strive for the highest grades. I am currently studying in the Natural Science Programme at Johannes Hedberg High School, and one of my biggest dreams is to become a doctor in the future. I believe that being kind, respectful, and helpful to others is one of the most important values in life.

In my free time, I enjoy studying, exercising, and practicing hobbies such as playing the piano and, most of all, singing. I also love spending time with my family and friends. Hosting me would mean welcoming someone who is genuinely caring, hardworking, and always eager to help and grow.

Why I qualify for the position:
Throughout my life, I’ve been active in various team sports, which has developed my ability to cooperate and achieve goals together with others. I have experience in childcare through both family and local babysitting, and I always make it a priority to ensure that children feel safe, understood, and happy. I speak Polish as my mother tongue, and I am fluent in Swedish and English, with strong skills in French as well. I’ve grown up moving between places and cultures, which has made me adaptable and open-minded. I understand the value of building trust and routines with children while also encouraging creativity, fun, and learning.

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. I truly hope to become part of your family and contribute positively to your children's everyday life.

Warm regards,
Sara

Experience

My Experience as an Au Pair & Nanny, and Why I Want to Work Abroad

I am a hardworking student currently in my final year of the Natural Science Programme at Johannes Hedberg High School in Helsingborg, Sweden. I aim to one day become a doctor, and my ambition to help others is at the heart of everything I do—including my interest in working as an Au Pair and Nanny abroad.

I currently work as a part-time nanny through myNanny in Sweden. This experience has given me valuable insight into childcare responsibilities, such as creating safe and engaging environments, adapting to the individual needs of each child, and maintaining strong communication with parents. I understand how important it is to be both patient and flexible in this role, and I take great pride in ensuring that children feel secure, seen, and supported.

In addition to my childcare experience, I’ve worked as a public attendant at Helsingborgs IF football club, where I was responsible for supervision, crowd safety, and customer service. I’ve also gained experience as a warehouse and production assistant at Amazing Food & Ingredients, which taught me to work efficiently as part of a team and handle responsibility under time pressure. These roles have strengthened my sense of accountability, punctuality, and teamwork—qualities that are essential when working with families and children.

Being raised by Slavic parents and moving often throughout my childhood, I’ve grown up immersed in various cultures and languages. My multicultural background has made me open-minded, adaptable, and eager to connect with people from different parts of the world. I speak Polish (native), Swedish, and English fluently, and I have a basic level of French.

I would love to become an Au Pair abroad because I enjoy working in social environments where I can grow both personally and professionally. Living with a host family would allow me to improve my language skills, experience daily life in a new country, and contribute meaningfully to a family’s household. I am especially drawn to the chance to become a role model and friend to the children I care for—helping them grow while learning from them in return.

What makes me stand out is my positive energy, strong work ethic, and genuine passion for helping others. I always aim to deliver the highest quality in everything I do, and I believe that kindness, respect, and empathy are the foundation of every successful relationship—especially with children.
