Cornelia (19 / Ms. ), Swedish, Student living in Sweden looking for Au Pair job in United Kingdom for 6-12 Months

Hello,
My name is Cornelia. In Spring I’m turning 19 years old, and graduating from upper Secondary School. In my freetime I play football on a higher level and therefore I have chosen to study at a Sports Gymnasium. Aside from my football I have a big interest in music, especially singing and I have sang in a choir for almost my whole life. When I don’t play football and sing, I spend as much time as possible around my friends and my family.

I have always enjoyed spending time with children and I have been interested in the Au Pair job since I heard about my mother’s experience many years ago. I also think this is a great opportunity to improve my English, and I feel like it would be a great experience to explore a new culture and country.

During the last years I have been taking care of my cousins’ children, so I have experience with child care. Apart from that, I have worked as a coach for younger children in my football club. Last year I also worked as an activity leader with children in vulnerable areas. These are all experiences that have taught me very much about me as a leader and person.

I find myself having a few character traits that stand out and qualify me as an Au Pair. I am positive, like social interaction, and I am curious about getting to learn and meet new people and cultures. For example, I went to a language trip to Malta last Summer, where I definitely got to challenge myself in a new environment, getting to know new people in a foreign language. Finally, I want to point out that I am a team player, used to Teamwork and I find it easy to adjust to new situations and circumstances.

I have dreamt about getting the chance to be an Au Pair for as long as I can remember, and I am sure that I will do all I can to make my year as an Au Pair the best possible both for me and the family I work for.
