Letter to the family

Dear Host Family,
My name is Aleyna and I am a 25-year-old graduate in International Relations, currently living in Turkey. I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my letter. Before university, I studied Child Development in high school and also received special education training. During that time, I completed an internship where I worked directly with children. Thanks to this experience and my academic background, I gained deep insight into child psychology, development, and behavior. I know how to approach and communicate with children, and I truly enjoy spending time with them.
I believe that I have both the qualifications and the personality suitable for being an au pair. I am a responsible, warm, and creative person. I easily bond with children and enjoy playing educational games that support their development in a fun and meaningful way. My English is at a B1 level, which allows me to communicate effectively. I’m also open to improving my language skills further during my stay. I see this au pair opportunity not only as a cultural exchange but also as a way to grow personally and professionally.

Experience

Although I haven’t worked as an official au pair before, I have a strong background working with children. In high school, I studied Child Development and completed my internship in a childcare setting. I also received training in special education, which gave me the tools to understand children's unique emotional and developmental needs. These experiences helped me become patient, nurturing, and attentive—qualities that are essential for an au pair.
I would love to be an au pair abroad because I truly enjoy spending time with children and supporting their development. At the same time, I see this as a unique opportunity to learn about a new culture and improve my language skills. Living with a host family and being part of their everyday life would allow me to experience a new country in the most genuine way. I believe this cultural exchange will enrich my perspective and contribute greatly to my personal growth.
I’m excited about becoming a loving and responsible role model for the children I care for, while also building meaningful relationships with the host family.
