Dear Future Host Family,

My name is Hazal, I’m 24 years old and from Turkey. I’ve always had a deep love for children, and over the years, that love has grown into a true passion for working with them both in playful and educational settings.

I studied English Literature at university and took additional courses in Psychology, which helped me better understand how children think, grow, and learn. I’ve worked as a teacher, camp counselor, and head counselor — especially during the last two summers in New York — and I’ve also taught English to children in Poland, and worked as a kindergarten teacher . These experiences taught me not only how to care for children, but also how to connect with them on a meaningful level.

I would describe myself as patient, warm, and responsible. I’m fluent in English and Turkish, with basic Spanish skills. More than anything, I love being around children not just to teach or supervise them, but to learn from them. Their curiosity and honesty inspire me every single day.

I come from a big, loving family, so I know what it means to create a safe and supportive environment. When you're not there, I can be a calm and reliable presence for your kids someone they feel comfortable and secure with.

Experience

Experience : I worked as a kindergarten teacher in Turkey more than one year , where I helped young children develop socially and academically. I also taught English to children in Poznań, Poland, and worked as a general counselor and head counselor at summer camps in New York City, which gave me the opportunity to guide and engage with children from various backgrounds.

I absolutely LOVE kids because I believe they are the future adults who will shape the world. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with children in various roles from being a teacher to a camp counselor and head counselor, especially over the past two summers in New York. I’ve worked with kids of all ages and each experience has been rewarding. Whether it was helping with schoolwork, organizing fun activities, or just offering support when needed, I’ve always made sure they felt cared for and safe. I truly believe that the way we nurture and guide kids today will help shape who they become tomorrow.

Becoming an Au Pair & Nanny abroad is the perfect way for me to continue doing what I love working with kidsand to learn from a different culture and family dynamic. I’m excited to bond with a new family, positively impact the children’s lives, and be part of their growth and development. This role gives me the chance to create lasting memories and contribute to shaping the future adults of tomorrow
