Letter to the family
My name is Georgia and I’m originally from the North of Ireland. I’ve always had a strong passion for learning, creativity, and helping others, which has shaped both my academic and personal journey so far. I completed a BSc in Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University and am currently undertaking a PGCE in Primary Education at Liverpool Hope University. I’m deeply drawn to working with children and young people and hope to pursue a future career in educational psychology or teaching, with a focus on positive mental health and emotional development.
Coming from a large family and having younger siblings has given me a natural sense of responsibility and care for others from a young age. I’ve always enjoyed being part of a team, whether it’s through my experience in hospitality, volunteer roles, or sports. I’m outgoing, empathetic, and thrive in environments where I can connect with people and make a meaningful impact.
Outside of work and study, I love art, music, fashion, photography, and travel. I find joy in exploring different cultures and perspectives, and I always try to balance a busy lifestyle with creativity and spirituality. I’d describe myself as caring, reliable, and full of energy – someone who loves to inspire and be inspired.
I believe I would be a great addition to your family because I bring not only the right qualifications and experience but also the kind of warmth, energy, and responsibility you’d want from someone caring for your children. With a background in Psychology and ongoing training in Primary Education, I have a strong understanding of child development, emotional wellbeing, and how to support young people as they grow and learn.
I hold up-to-date safeguarding, mental health, and first aid certifications, along with a DBS background check, which ensures safety is always at the heart of my approach. But beyond qualifications, I bring real-life experience – from working as a classroom assistant with GCSE and BTEC students, to helping raise younger siblings, to volunteering in youth-focused settings. I know how to communicate with children of all ages, adapt to their needs, and create a calm, fun, and respectful environment.
I’m highly organised, dependable, and proactive – skills I’ve developed through years in customer-facing roles and hospitality, which have taught me how to juggle responsibility, think on my feet, and remain patient under pressure. I’m happy to help with household routines, cooking, organising activities, or anything else that supports your family's day-to-day life.
Most importantly, I care deeply about children’s happiness and development. I see this role not just as a job, but as a meaningful opportunity to become part of a family’s story – someone who adds value, trust, and kindness to your home while learning and growing alongside you.
