Letter to the family

Hello there!
My name is Ayisha, and 21 years old! I live in one of the three largest cities in Sweden called Malmo.

I’m one loving, creative and funny girl full of energy and joy. I love to do dancing, acting, baking and to play on the piano as I am learning how to play. I have a lot of energy and love to be active and even try new activities. I have just graduated high school and I studied a program where you learn about society and behavioral science. Now I’m studying International relations at Malmo university.

My family consists of my mother, my two older brothers and me, the youngest of three children. I also have 9 step siblings and step parents. I would describe myself as an hard working girl as I have three jobs. I’m a dance teacher for children aged 4-10. When I’m not dancing I work at a gym where the parents who work out could leave there children in a play room where I take care of them. I’m also a part time babysitter for two wonderful families, two very loving boys. They are literally my best friends!

Aupairing for me is all about the children, the cultural exchange, having fun and making memories. I would love to spend time with my future family, making friends and living the amerikan dream. The cultural exchange is important to me as I want to share a part of my Swedish and Ghanian nationality and visa versa!

Experience

When I was 15 I worked at a daycare for children around the ages 2-5 over the summer. I enjoyed that job because it was my first time working with children (except for babysitting). When I was 15 I started to babysit and I started off with one family and I was not able to say no so I babysat for three families. I really enjoyed it and love babysitting. You get to know the children and spend time with them doing things both of you enjoy. The same year I turned 15, me and my friends in my class started a youth association. Children that went to our school were able to join in on our planned activites twice a week. This was something we did on our free time after school to make children enjoy their time as children. Every smile was worth the work we did. I’ve also worked as a dance teacher which I enjoy a lot because I love dancing myself. I’ve also worked in a summer camp for two summers. children aged 6-12 go to the summer camp and stay for two weeks. During these two weeks we do activities, bake, bathe and enjoy the summer break.

I have worked as an aupair in Australia, Melbourne caring for three children aswell as in Türkiye, Istanbul for two children.

Every child is so different compared to eachother. I love working with children because then I get to see their development as a person, see them laugh and enjoy their time being kids. They are funny and very random, so I never get bored of working with them.
