Letter to the family

Originally translated from Français
Dear Sir or Madam,

Currently a first-year occupational therapy student at the University of Aix-Marseille, I would like to experience being an au pair in an English-speaking country in order to improve my English while sharing my dynamism and sense of responsibility with a family.

Coming from a large family, I grew up in an environment where mutual aid and kindness are essential values. My long-standing commitment to scouting as well as my many babysitting experiences have taught me to be independent, organized and to always find stimulating activities for children. In addition, having accompanied my autistic little brother on a daily basis, I know how to adapt to the specific needs of each child with patience and gentleness.

Motivated, smiling and full of enthusiasm, I am ready to fully invest myself in this great adventure, sharing my energy and my culture while discovering yours. This stay would be a valuable opportunity for me to improve my English while contributing to the well-being of your children.

I would be delighted to talk to you to tell you more about my motivation and my personality. While waiting for your response, please accept, Madam, Sir, my respectful greetings.

Experience

Originally translated from Français
I have acquired solid experience in accompanying and caring for children as well as people requiring special attention.

Commitment to sick elderly people: I participated twice in the diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes as a stretcher-bearer, kindly accompanying sick elderly people. This experience allowed me to develop patience, empathy and a strong sense of service. It also revealed my vocation as a caregiver and convinced me to pursue a career serving the most vulnerable.

Supervision of children within scouting: As an active member of the scout movement, I regularly looked after younger children, organizing adapted activities and ensuring their well-being. This allowed me to strengthen my sense of responsibility, my creativity and my ability to adapt to different needs.

Babysitting experience: When I lived in Toulouse, I did many hours of babysitting, taking care of children of all ages with seriousness and enthusiasm. I acquired a great deal of autonomy and a caring approach to childcare.

In addition to these experiences, my family commitment, particularly with my autistic little brother, demonstrates my adaptability to different situations.
