Letter to the family

I am an educator and have been working with children and teenagers for 10 years. I have already worked in various fields, such as with physically and mentally disabled children/young people, but also with pre-school children and schoolchildren. My main focus in recent years has actually been working with school children from first to tenth grade and I realize that I really enjoy it. In 2020, I founded my own non-profit company for after-school care at a primary and secondary school. I will sell this company later this year and would then like to move to Canada from January 1, 2025. Preferably I am looking for a position in and around Vancouver, but I am also open to other offers.

Experience

I really enjoy working with children, young people and adults. I generally have a great interest in finding out what people need, how you can reach them and how you can support them in their development. I'm a big fan of Maria Montessori, Rudolf Steiner and Jesper Juul, who all emphasize human connection and the development of independence. They also build on a sustainable, healthy, low-stimulus and needs-oriented pedagogy. All of this is content that I also support. In the last three years, I have also been studying to become a coach/therapist in "working with the core". If you are interested in learning more about this work, I am also open to introduce it during my time as an aupair.
