Letter to the family

Hello My name is Maria, I'm 27 years old, I'm currently studying English and I want to start studying French, I live in a small town in Minas Gerais, Brazil, which is 1 hour from the capital. I live alone, but I keep in frequent contact with my family, which would be my grandfather, my mother and my brothers.

My family is very important to me! We are very close and I really enjoy being with them! They are very supportive of me becoming an au pair and it encourages me to follow my dreams.

I have completed high school, and I have a degree in Nursing Technique, I worked in the nursing field for 5 years and am currently in the business administration field.

I went to live alone when I was 18 and had to learn to deal with all my independence and habits. I think this experience contributed to my personal growth and now I feel even more prepared to live in another country.

In my free time I like watching movies, going out with friends, reading, cycling... and I love staying at home.

I am a communicative person and I like meeting people and talking. Sometimes I write because I like to express myself through words.

I love listening to music, and my favorite sport is swimming, where I was an athlete when I was in high school.
I consider myself an extroverted and active person!

I would say I am a friendly, optimistic, patient, flexible, open-minded and easy-going person. I think I have a lot to learn because we always learn from the people that cross our lives, but I think I have a lot to offer too! I am also affectionate and want to take care of your children with love, responsibility and dedication

Experience

Children are my passion! I think their smile is the most genuine thing in the world! I love just being with them, playing or helping with their needs. Spending time with them is like therapy for me! I feel great when I'm next to them because they are innocent, spontaneous, honest and full of life! They have a lot of energy and it is contagious! But I'm also responsible and I know the limits between a moment of fun and a moment of obligation.

I worked in a daycare center taking care of children from 1 year old to 8 years old. There I learned how to feed the children, change diapers, give them bottles, prepare meals, bathe them, put them to sleep and, most importantly, deal with them. We played games, activities and spent the whole day at daycare.

I also worked at an NGO called Everyone's Circus, where I taught circus classes for children, I was a monitor at this place for 3 years, I took the children on trips, prepared meals, and organized their weekly activities.

One of my favorite parts was playing with them and creating dynamic activities to entertain them. It was such a cool experience that I got to see the children's routine up close. I was very happy working there because at that time my life was full of energy and love!
