Letter to the family

My name is Paige, and I’m genuinely excited about the opportunity to join your family as an Au Pair and Live-in Tutor. I’m someone who values patience, connection, and creating a safe, encouraging space for children to grow. I have a bachelors of science in Geography and Environmental Studies with a minor in Sustainability Studies, graduating with honors, and have a deep love for learning, nature, and helping others.

From a young age, I’ve dreamed of traveling the world and making a difference in people’s lives. I was deeply impacted by the care I received as a child — my babysitter gave me so much warmth and love that it shaped the way I see the world. I’ve carried that with me ever since, and now I want to give that same love and care to a child who needs it. I hope to bring a calm, steady, and creative presence into your home. I’m someone who truly listens, adapts well to new routines, and finds joy in supporting others. I will treat your children with respect, ensure their safety, and bring a caring, positive presence into their lives.

Experience

Although I haven’t formally worked as an Au Pair before, I have hands-on experience caring for children ranging from infants to pre-teens. I’ve supported daily routines like feeding, naptime, learning, and play, and I’ve helped children with everything from early language skills to schoolwork and emotional support. I approach childcare with empathy, patience, and consistency.

What draws me to this role abroad is the chance to genuinely connect with a new culture and way of life. I’m eager to learn your customs, language, and values — and to share mine with you in return. Living abroad as an Au Pair allows for something much deeper than travel — it’s about shared experiences, meaningful relationships, and building mutual understanding while supporting your family in daily life.

I’m also qualified for this role not just because I’ve worked closely with children of all ages, but because of the strong foundation I’ve built through both education and hands-on experience. My first job was as a lifeguard, where I became CPR certified and taught swimming lessons to children over the age of five — developing a calm, safety-focused approach to working with kids. I recently renewed my CPR certification to stay current. In college, I continued supporting others by tutoring through my university’s honor society, Gamma Theta Upsilon, which taught me how to explain ideas with clarity and patience. I’d be honored to bring that same thoughtful care and guidance into your child’s life.
