Letter to the family

Hi!

I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Senne, and I am writing to express my sincere interest in becoming an au pair with your family. As I embark on this journey, I want to share with you not only my aspirations but also why I believe I am the right fit for your household.

First and foremost, a little about me: I'm 20 years old and am currently studying to receive my bachelor's degree in Psychology at San Diego City College. I love music, traveling, exploring new scenery, outdoor activities, and art. I'm a big fan of life's greatest hits, always seeking new adventures and inspiration in everything around me. Whether jamming out to tunes, going on hikes, or checking out cool art, I'm all about soaking up the good vibes and making the most of every moment! I like to live by the saying, "Life is short, so live it to the fullest!"

I am drawn to the au pair experience because of my genuine love for children and my passion for cultural exchange. Growing up, I was blessed to have a mother with a keen sense of travel. I got to experience exploring the world starting at a young age, which only influenced my own desire to explore more. My mother was born and raised in the Netherlands, and I have always felt most at home there. I would love to continue growing my love and knowledge of the culture by becoming an au pair. Also, I was fortunate to have had caregivers and mentors who significantly shaped my values and nurtured my curiosity about the world. Now, as an adult, I see the au pair program as an opportunity to pay that kindness forward and to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

In terms of qualifications, I bring a diverse set of skills and experiences to the table that I believe make me well-suited for the position. Despite never being an au pair before, I have worked many jobs in hospitality, which I believe shaped me into the kind-hearted, hard-working helper I am today. It brings me a great sense of joy to be able to assist in making one's life easier. I have also worked multiple jobs as a babysitter and night nanny, which gave me experience caring for children. Moreover, I am adaptable, responsible, and resourceful, qualities I have honed through my previous work experiences. Perhaps most importantly, I approach this opportunity with an open heart and a willingness to learn and grow. I am eager to immerse myself in your family's routines, traditions, and culture and contribute meaningfully to the well-being and happiness of your children. In conclusion, I am deeply excited about possibly joining your family as an au pair. I am confident that my dedication, enthusiasm, and genuine love for children make me an excellent candidate for the position.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the possibility of becoming a part of your household and creating beautiful memories together.

Experience

Choosing an au pair is not just about finding someone to help with childcare—it's about inviting a member into your family, someone who will bring warmth, care, and enriching experiences into your home. That's where I come in. As a prospective au pair, I bring not only a genuine love for children but also a deep sense of responsibility, empathy, and enthusiasm for cultural exchange. More than just a caregiver, I aspire to be a positive role model and mentor, instilling values of kindness, curiosity, and open-mindedness. By choosing me as your au pair, you're not just inviting someone to share your home—you're welcoming a dedicated and compassionate individual who is committed to creating a supportive and enriching environment for your family to thrive in.
