Maria (20 / Ms. ), Spanish, Student living in Spain looking for Au Pair & Nanny job in Canada, Denmark, Scotland, USA & United Kingdom for 1-6 Months

Dear future host family,

My name is Maria, and I am so excited about opportunity to become a part of your family as an au pair. I truly love working with children – it never feels like a job to me because I enjoy every moment of it. I have several experiences that made me fall in love with this kind of work. I spent a month doing an internship at a mini kids’ club, and it was one of the best jobs I’ve ever had. I also worked one summer taking care of three wonderful siblings (12, 9 and 7 years old), and this past summer I was with a lovely family with 3-year-old twins and a 6-year-old girl. Each experience taught me how to be patient, creative and caring, and it made me realize how much I connect with children. I would love to treat your children as if they were my own, with love, care, and dedication. I hope to be like an older sister to them, supporting them and sharing fun moments. What I am really looking for is a family where I can feel like a true member, not just an employee. Communication is very important to me, and I believe that building a warm and open relationship with the parents makes everything easier for the children too. Along with caring for your children, I also hope to make the most of this experience by learning your language, discovering your culture, and sharing mine with you. I am very curious and eager to learn – whether it’s trying traditional recipes, exploring new places or improving my language skills, I want to grow from this journey as much as I contribute to your family’s daily life. I lead a healthy and active lifestyle. I enjoy going to the gym every day, staying active with cycling, running or other outdoor activities, and I try to maintain balance by enjoying occasional treats in a healthy way. I am currently studying Criminology online, which allows me to be flexible with my time. My hobbies include cooking, photography and music, and I also enjoy going to theatres, musicals and museums. I am thinking of staying for up to six months (but I am open to discuss this) and I hope to make this a wonderful experience for all of us.
