Letter to the family

I am an energetic, goofy and easy-going person just hoping to experience something (a culture/country) I'm not use to while also making myself useful to others. I want to become an Au Pair and, or nanny because I've spent the better half of six months taking care of both young children and elderly. I found this to be quiet rewarding and fulfilling and was advised to join this website. Why a candidate should host me in addition to everything already mentioned; if for no other reason is because I care a great deal for the ones I take care of and would always try to be of some help. Which has allowed me in previous experiences to meld into the family fold seamlessly.

Experience

After spending time in the US taking care of an elderly (dementia) patient in a more professional setting and occasionally seeing about kids all under the age of ten. Growing up in the Caribbean country pretty much raises you from young to take care of kids and elderly alike...so its a job that comes naturally to me. I was able to be of service as well as had time to explore the city. It also taught me a few life skills that I am most appreciative of; the most prominent being to have patience. I'd also like to note that any interested host families would have to at least share travel costs as flights can be very pricey for me.
