Letter to the family

My name is Melissa Kai Xin, I am 25 years old and I am from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am a very outgoing person and I would describe myself as a reliable and caring person who tries to make the best out of every situation. My parents are both police officers in Malaysia therefore I grew up in a very strict but loving household. I am the only child but I have 15 cousins. Being the eldest one, I watched and took care of them growing up from babies to toddler. I am also a graduate student from IMI International Management Institute in Luzern. I studied Bachelor of Arts in International Hotel and Tourism Management. Why should you host me? Well, I speak 3 languages fluently (Chinese, English and Malay), learning Italian, Spanish and German by myself. I am responsible, great with kids, I can cook and clean, respectful and understanding.

Experience

I have no experience of being an au pair but I would like to learn and experience of becoming one. For the past years that I was taking care of my cousins, I could see the world from their perspective. I have forgotten how was it like to be a children and asking a lot of questions about how the world works. I have found out how much fun it is to have children around. I can’t imagine a life without them. And especially when they are the future of the generation.
The reason why I choose to go back to Switzerland as an au pair is that I want to get to know more about the Swiss way of life as well as different cultures. Most importantly it would be a great ce to spend an entire year taking care of children. And of course, it would be great to improve my other language skills as well.
