giulia (20 / Ms. ), Italian, Au Pair living in Italy looking for Au Pair job in Canada for 6-12 Months

Hi future host family,
if you are reading this it means it’s time for you to get to know me better. I am Giulia and I'm 18 years old, I live in a small village in northern Italy in a family of five. Plus a cat and a rabbit. I'd say I'm a family oriented person and I have a strong bond with my parents and siblings and love spending time with them.
I study modern languages in high school and I'm going to graduate this year and since I'm in need of a new experience here I am deciding to work with kids. During my days other than studying I like going on long walks by myself and reading books or when I feel like staying at home baking something.
With my siblings I spend time in different ways and lately I became their driver to all the activities they have during the week, but I don't mind at all in the contrary I enjoy singing to songs with them while driving.
I am the eldest out of three and also among my cousins I'm one of the oldest so I have always had the chance to take care of the little ones since I was big enough to be trusted by adults and I have to admit I learned a lot from them. I would say I am naturally a patient person but spending time with kids has forced me improve that feature a lot over the years and I’m always up to new experiences with them.

I decided to take part in this project because I have a lot to offer and I have a lot of skills adapt to take care of kids. I am a very empathetic person, I listen to other people’s problems and among my friends I’m considered to be the “mum” of the group, that because I always make sure that everyone is fine and that comes really natural to me. I've always played sports (swimming, volleyball, horse riding, dance) and faced new environments and people who enriched me of significant values and lessons.

I am curios to get to know other people’s cultures and places and habits, I love listening to what other people have to say, I am very creative and have several hobbies like painting, reading, horse riding, I am a fan of hockey, basketball, I love spending time with animals and after this experience I would like to work in a barn or in a ranch. Other ideas for the future are working diplomatic area and being able to work with languages and different cultures, in fact I plan on applying to university after this year, but I could also discover new opportunities after this experience so I'm open to whatever challenge is waiting for me.

I look forward to start this adventure and I am excited to try new things and meet new people and children who will for sure teach me a lot. I am aware of the importance of the job I will cover and the responsibilities that will come along, but I am also no stranger to the fact that all of this will take me to be a better version of myself. During this year I expect a huge personal growth, a bunch of excitement and most of all a mind-blowing experience.
