Letter to the family

Im Mia, 22 years old and Im super excited to become you’re au pair!
I have visited France my whole life, I'd love the opportunity to greater understand the culture and hopefully share language skills, English/French with the children I look after!
I have experience being a water sports activities instructor to young children, as well as caring for my very large family.

I visited many times to Chamonix where I have two cousins >12 years old that I've spent lots of time with growing up, hiking, skiing, speaking both languages which gives me so much confidence in my ability to au pair.
I also know Paris very well, and would feel very comfortable looking after myself and others. I understand fully the public transport of the city, and I also hold a driving license for 4 years which I would be happy to use.
I have also been in Lyon, Bordeaux, Dijon, and Mimizan where I previously worked the Summer!

I'm an energetic, joyful person, looking to find a family I can make strong connections with. I am a passionate cook, I LOVE cats, the arts, music and occasionally sing in the shower...

Experience

I trained 2 years to be a water-sports instructor (which got cut short by covid) the whole time working with children of all ages, including health and safety, risk assessments, and very specific needs. I feel very comfortable being responsible for children in new situations and am very self aware in areas like big cities, or the risk in the countryside.

Like I said before I have two young French cousins, I have visited them twice a year for their entire life. I have experienced the dynamic of living in a bilingual family. I've done many activities solo with my cousins swimming, hiking, helping them with their English, taking them too and from school. I feel very comfortable In their responsible care.
