Letter to the family

Hello! My name is Bailey and I am a 21-year-old nursing student from the United States. I have lived in Japan, California, and North Carolina. I love my studies and can't wait to work as a nurse. However, before I jump into the workforce I would love an opportunity to work as an Au Pair or Caregiver for the elderly abroad! I have always loved traveling, immersing myself in new cultures, and exploring. I have traveled to Germany, France, Brazil, Costa Rica, Portugal, Spain, and Puerto Rico. I am extremely eager to better my Spanish as well as German. My mother and her family are from Germany and I have always longed to return to her home country and learn more about my heritage. I have 3 years of experience in caregiving for older adults and am a qualified Nurse Aide here in the United States. By the time I begin to work as an Au Pair, I will be a registered nurse with a bachelor's degree. When I'm not working at the nursing home or studying for school, I love to babysit. I have several families here that I nanny for and love doing it. I have taken my kids on day trips to the beach, park, ice skating, and more. I am an ideal candidate for an Au Pair and Caregiver position because I am hardworking, kind, and well-experienced. My friends and family would describe me as patient, nurturing, and intelligent.

Experience

I would love to challenge myself by using my current skills in a new environment. I have over five years of experience with children of all ages and 3 years of experience as a caregiver for the elderly. I have worked with elderly patients with needs ranging from mobility issues to memory/ dementia, and extra help with daily living tasks. I feel comfortable preparing meals, helping with housework, transportation needs, assisting with showering/bathing, and needs with daily living. I have nannied children of all ages and phases of life including children with special needs or a larger family with more than five little ones. I have helped children with homework, learning to swim, and lastly always creating a safe environment.
